Vocals, vocals, and more vocals. Recording is inching it's way to completion. We can't wait to bring it to your ears. In the meantime, if you are in the San Diego area we will be playing the Casbah with our friends, The Palace Ballroom, on this Thursday, November 29th. Hope to see you there!
[November 2, 2012]
Our last performance with friends Transfer and The Palace Ballroom at the Bootleg in L.A. went off nicely. Next up we are playing Cal State Fullerton on Nov. 14th in the Becker Ampitheater at 12pm. This show is free and open to the public. On the following Friday, Nov. 16th, we play El Cid in Silverlake, CA. We end the month of November with The Casbah in San Diego, CA on Nov. 29th for the Palace Ballroom CD release show.
As for the record, we'll be finishing tracking this month. Then on to mixing con el capitan...oyeososup?
[September 22, 2012]
Thank you to everyone who made it out to Club Moscow last Wednesday night. Next up is the Bootleg in Echo Park, CA with Transfer on October 28th.
Guitars and Vocals are currently being tracked for the LP at our rehearsal space in downtown Los Angeles. We are taking our time with this one, but it will be well worth it in the end. More to come soon,

Tracking for the LP has begun. Drums were recently recorded in a live setting at Eastwest Studios in Hollywood, CA over a span of 3 days. That studio has a ton of history (formerly Cello Studios before it was bought by Eastwest), so it was a bit of an honor to track there.
We are getting our eyes set on a release this fall but as for an exact date, we will need to keep you posted. So many aspects and so many variables need to fall into place at the moment before we can set a date in stone. We can say however, that we have the songs, that we have an album that is worlds beyond the EP we recorded 2 years ago. Robbes (producer) has helped us out immensely with bringing these new songs to life.
Whatever the case, it is going to be a few months before these tracks see the light of day, but you can hear them live at the Bootleg on August 23rd. We hit the stage at 10pm.

[June 11, 2012]
We are currently in pre-production for our debut LP, working with producer/engineer Robbes Stieglitz. We are hoping to begin tracking later this month, and start mixing in July.
Our next show as a full band will be July 28, 2012 at the EatSeeHear Outdoor Movie, Music, and Food Truck Series. We will playing at 7pm before the feature, "The Princess Bride." This performance will also mark the first time that State to State has opened up for a romantic-comedy-adventure film co-starring Fred Savage. You can buy your tickets here.
Don't wanna wait that long to see us? You can catch Shea and Andrew as they perform an acoustic set at the Good Hurt in West LA on June 28. Sign up to the facebook invite to be added to the guest list.
Lastly, we just made some pretty fancy t-shirts that will be available for purchase here in about a couple of days. Heybearsup?

Pancakes and Booze was a success. We played to a warehouse at occupancy and couldn’t have asked for a warmer response from the crowd. So thank you to all of our new friends. If you haven’t already, head over to the listen page and download a free copy of our song Too Much.
Our next show is April 24th at the Bootleg Theater in Echo Park, CA, where we will be playing with Echoes de Luxe, The Palace Ballroom, and Battle Tapes. Music starts at 9pm so get there early. State to State is on at 11pm.
We should have some recording updates with the next post here. We are finishing up some pre-production at the moment for the album. More to come…

[February 17, 2012]
Welcome to our new site. We are doing this ourselves to save hard-earned cash, but rest assured because we still spend most of our available time working on music. We hope you like it.
The last several months were a bit trying on the band as we searched (and searched) for a bassist. Our patience was wearing thin. You think it would be easy to find a bassist in this city. It is not.
We've booked some new shows and we are planning to get in the studio this Spring. We have about 16 new tracks to work with, we'll see what makes the cut. In the meantime you can hear our new material by seeing us perform at Pancakes and Booze on March 23rd or at the Bootleg Theatre in Echo Park on April 24th.
We are also getting some merchandise together so look out for t-shirts in the near future.
